Fall: the days have turned a little more crisp, the leaves are a multitude of color, and there is that pesky nagging in the back of your head that snow is inevitable. However this year was peculiar in that many of our lovely fall days were peppered in between days of lovely summer heat. If I didn't love fall so much and look forward to this crisp, chilly weather all year long, it would be fantastic.
I had intended on taking advantage of one of those lovely fall afternoons to get out and photograph. Unfortunately the afternoon too quickly fell to evening and I was yet again struggling to take night shots without the assistance of a tripod. Hence the blurry shots.
Despite the warmer days, the wildlife seemed to think it had gotten cold enough. We spotted many geese and ducks above, flying in organized (and sometimes not-so-organized) flocks south. Then there was the lone goose hollering as loudly as it could, flying north. Lets hope it realizes its mistake before the snow hits.
My keen-eyed assitant pointed out two geese that were swimming in the river. It was next to impossible to get them perfectly aligned with the light from the bridge. This was the closest thing I got to a good shot. Mostly it was just ripples on the lit water.
