the concept

Somewhere between books, music and patios lies the answer to any question a person could ever ask.

Alright, I may have stolen that line from someone. Shh... don't tell on me.

Welcome to my little world.

To start off with I would like to say that this is nothing new or revolutionary. It is not intended to dazzle or amaze. This is just my little way of making a small little mark. And a way of expressing what I love.

Photography is something that has come to me quite recently in a rather large way. Its something I have always loved, have always appreciated, but always from afar. But as with all crushes, eventually you have to move on or take the leap and tell the object of your affection your true feelings. So far my unabashed testament to the art of photos has not backfired, as such acts of passion are prone to do. So I consider myself lucky as a plunge deeper into this artistic affair.

There are a few things that made this site come into existence. First was my new-found hobby that I was just bursting at the seams to share. Taking 763 photos during a trip to New York is impressive, but doesn't really do much when said shots sit on your computer and collect virtual dust. Photos need to be seen, and what better way than here?

Second, there is a little well-known book entitled "the Book of Awesome" by Neil Pasricha. If you haven't picked it up, I highly recommend you do. The premise is simple: find small, every day things and appreciate them for the awesomeness that they are. This is something that is not new to me; I often think that the simple things are underrated and the small things are actually quite big. So this site was a bit about finding small things, capturing them on film (or digital film as it would be) and then appreciating them for their glory.

Third, I am one of those people who can't help but write. I like to put things down on paper - it helps prove they really happened, that they were important. I have an ever-present need to put things into written form, even though sometimes I'm not quite sure what to say. I am not always eloquent, I am not always clear on my meaning. But I love the act of writing, and so here I am.

So the purpose of this page was to combine these elements into one simple space. Sometimes its more about the photos, sometimes its more about what I have to say. Sometimes its about neither. Its about telling the world that you're here, that you exist. And seeing if the world is listening.
