Meet Blue.

Blue is a Ruddy Duck who was found on the steps of a local pub in town. I guess he just needed a drink.

Blue stayed with us for a few days, and then successfully headed back out into the wild - minus the beer.

Here is the fun fact of the day about Ruddy Ducks:

Most diving ducks cannot take off from land; only from water. Which means if they make an unexpected pit stop over solid land, they are stuck until a good samaritan comes along to put them back into the water.
